The Prince of Krump

A Dominant and Inspiring Force in Dance.

Marquith Dontae Miller a.k.a. Crush was born on July 19th, 1988. He has become known as not only a pioneer of Krump but a mentor to many dancers around the world. At age 12, Crush began his journey as a student of Krump in Los Angeles, California, shortly after the creation of the dance. 18 years later, he has evolved his style and expanded his influence to now be known as the “Prince of Krump”, a dominant and inspiring force in dance.

In 2006, Crush went from a widely recognized “street” dancer to stepping into the mainstream spotlight dancing in Chris Brown’s “Up Close and Personal” Tour. However, Crush did not forget his roots, traveling the world to fuel the Krump movement internationally through teaching workshops, judging battles, and participating in battling the world’s up and coming Krump talent. Some examples of this are his participation include the “King Of Buck” event in Tokyo, Japan where he judged and taught workshops in 2009, 2016, and 2017. In 2016 and 2017 he also visited Paris, France to teach, battle, and judge at the “Illest International” event. Additionally, Crush has been to Germany, South Africa, Russia, Switzerland, Texas, Las Vegas, Arkansas, and more to spread Krump as widely as possible with his talents and teachings.

Krump is a big family all around the world. I started traveling for my first Krump camp in 2018 at Krumpire in Russia. From there I meet al lot of krumpers from all around the world and made my first international kids battle 8 Buck, surrounded by all my idols kids krumpers. I had the chance to go to Krumpire Krump dance camp twice (also went in 2019)

Crush’s influence in Krump has also lead him to spread the dance through DVDs and Krump documentaries such as “Krump 1.0,” 2.0 and 3.0, “Animosity,” “Cage 2,” 3, and 5, “CCR The Beginning,” and many others. He also takes pride in spreading the Krump culture to other outlets such as fashion, becoming a brand ambassador for Ama Kip Kip in Johannesburg, South Africa, BearTruth in Las Vegas, and Bloozers in Paris.

Crush remains passionate and excited about the future of Krump and continuing to be a pioneer in its growth throughout the world.
